Land Clearing & Lot Clearing

Have a lot or acreage that has been swallowed by brush, saplings, and years of overgrowth? We clear it down to clean, usable ground. Whether you are prepping a homesite, opening up a wooded lot, or reclaiming acreage that has gone wild, we bring the right equipment and clear it efficiently, grinding most material in place so there is no burn pile and nothing to haul away.

Land clearing covers everything from light brush to a densely wooded lot with larger trees and stumps. We match the method to the property: forestry mulching for brush and small trees, and separate felling and stump removal where bigger timber is involved, so you get a clean, ready-to-use site without cutting corners. Most residential lots are done in a day; larger parcels take a bit longer, and we give you a clear timeline up front.

National cost guides quote anywhere from $700 to $8,000 an acre. The Ohio figures above are tighter because they reflect this market rather than an average of every market.

These are published market ranges for this kind of work, not a quote from Tri-State Brush Control. What your property costs depends on access, terrain, debris and scope, which is exactly what the free on-site estimate settles.

Land Clearing FAQ

Common Questions About Land Clearing

It depends on the size of the property, how heavy the growth is, the terrain, and what needs to come out. Light brush clears faster and cheaper than a densely wooded lot with large trees and stumps, and access and how far material has to be moved matter too. Most jobs are priced by the acre or by machine time, and we give free on-site estimates with financing available for larger projects.

For clearing brush, undergrowth, and smaller trees on your own property, a permit is usually not required. If the parcel borders a protected waterway or wetland, sits under an HOA, or falls under a local tree ordinance, it is worth confirming with your township or county first. We are glad to walk through what we are seeing on your lot during the free estimate.

Most residential lots are cleared in a single day. Multi-acre parcels, or sites with heavy timber and stumps to remove, may take two to three days. We give you a clear timeline up front once we have seen the property.

Land clearing is the overall job: opening up an overgrown or wooded property and getting it ready to use. Forestry mulching is one of the methods we use to do it, grinding brush and small trees into mulch right where they stand, with no burning and nothing to haul off. For bigger trees or full site prep we combine mulching with other clearing and grading as needed. We recommend the right approach for your lot during the estimate.

Yes. Build sites are their own kind of job, with survey lines, setbacks, and a schedule your excavator is waiting on, so we cover that work in detail on our land clearing for construction page. If you are simply reclaiming an overgrown or wooded lot rather than building on it, this is the right page and we will clear it to suit.

No. On a clearing job everything that comes off the property is vegetation: brush, briars, saplings and small trees, ground down where they stand and left as mulch. Vehicles, appliances, scrap metal and general debris fall outside what a mulching head and a track loader do, so we clear the growth around them and leave them where they sit. On rural acreage a car or farm vehicle that has been in the weeds for years is a common find. For a car, truck, SUV, van or motorcycle in any condition, running or not, Junk My Car Cincinnati handles junk vehicle removal in the tri-state and tows across the same Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana area we cover. A shed, garage or junk pile is different. That is our demolition service, where teardown and haul-off are quoted together.

Not required. As long as we have clear access to the work area and any gates or obstacles are handled ahead of time, we can complete the job while you are away. We will send photos when the work is done.
