Gravel Driveway Repair & Installation
Gravel driveway re-grading, pothole and rut repair. Smooth, durable surfaces done right and ready to use.

Gravel Driveway Repair & Installation
Potholes, ruts, and erosion can turn your gravel driveway into a mess and hurt your curb appeal. We assess the damage, re-grade the base, establish a crown for proper drainage, power rake to reclaim existing gravel, add fresh material as needed, and compact everything down for a smooth, durable surface. Bring us the problem and we will put together a plan that fits.
Need a brand-new gravel driveway or want to add a turnaround? We handle full installations too. We'll develop a plan that meets your expectations and stays within your budget. Most driveways fail for the same reason (no crown and nowhere for water to go), so we fix the drainage first instead of just dumping fresh stone on top of the problem.

These are published market ranges for this kind of work, not a quote from Tri-State Brush Control. What your property costs depends on access, terrain, debris and scope, which is exactly what the free on-site estimate settles.

How our gravel driveway repair jobs run
Free Site Visit
We look at the driveway, find where the water is going wrong, and put together a plan for a repair or a new install.
Grading & Base Work
We cut out the ruts and potholes, re-grade the base, and establish a crown so water sheds to the sides instead of pooling.
Power Raking & Material
We power rake to pull buried gravel back to the surface and reuse it, then add fresh stone only where it is actually needed.
Compaction & Final Pass
We compact the surface so it holds up to traffic and weather, clean up the edges, and check that drainage runs the way it should.
Common Questions About Gravel Driveway Repair
It comes down to the size of the driveway, how much new gravel is needed, and whether it is a repair or a full new installation. Reusing your existing gravel through power raking keeps repair costs down, while a brand-new drive needs more material and base work. We give free estimates and offer financing for larger projects.
Both. We handle full gravel driveway installations as well as repairs on existing drives. Whether you need a brand-new surface or just want ruts and potholes fixed, we will develop a plan that fits your budget.
Most residential driveway repairs are completed in one day. Larger driveways or full installations may take two days depending on the scope of work and material delivery.
Over time, gravel gets pushed to the edges and buried in dirt. Power raking pulls that existing gravel back to the surface so it can be reused, which saves you money on new material and gives you a better base to work with.
Usually it comes down to poor drainage and a lack of crown. Without a proper crown, water pools on the surface and washes gravel away. We re-grade with a crown so water runs off to the sides, which keeps the surface intact much longer.
It depends on what the driveway needs. A base layer of larger crushed stone provides structure, while a finer top layer locks together for a smoother surface that sheds water. During the site visit we will recommend what fits your drive, your traffic, and your budget.
With a proper crown and working drainage, most driveways need only a light re-grade every couple of years, and fresh top stone less often than that. Driveways that hold water or carry heavy truck traffic need attention sooner. Fixing the drainage once is far cheaper than adding stone every spring.
Yes. Slopes wash out when water runs down the driveway instead of off it. We re-grade so water moves to the sides, and where it makes sense we add cross-drainage or a heavier stone that resists migrating downhill. Done properly that is a lasting fix, not a patch.
Not required. As long as we have clear access to the work area and any gates or obstacles are handled ahead of time, we can complete the job while you are away. We will send photos when the work is done.
